Vince Fagan
Green Cleaning Specialist


Vince Fagan comes to HSC with a wealth of experience in the cleaning industry coupled with a strong commitment to sustainability and the environment. Vince, formerly vice president of United Supply Service, Inc., has been a leader in bringing green cleaning to Illinois schools, partnering with HSC on multiple green cleaning projects and playing an instrumental role in HSC’s successful advocacy for state green cleaning policy. Now the founder of Fagan Solutions, Inc., Vince will share his expertise in his role as a presenter helping school and cleaning industry leaders go green. Vince holds a bachelor’s degree from Calumet College of Saint Joseph in Hammond, Indiana and a LEED Green Associate credential from the US Green Building Council.

Mark Bishop
Deputy Director


Mark Bishop began working on school environmental health issues in 1995 at the American Lung Association of Eastern Missouri as director of Environmental Programs. At the ALAEM, Mark directed state-wide environmental health education campaigns and policy initiatives. At HSC, Mark was instrumental in bringing the Green Clean Schools Act to Illinois, now the second state in the nation to require green cleaning in schools as well as passage of the Green Schools Construction Act of 2007. He worked closely on the development of guidance documents such as HSC’s Quick & Easy Guide to Green Cleaning in Schools and Resource Guide for Healthy, High-Performing Schools.

Rochelle Davis
Founding Executive Director


Rochelle Davis, the founding Executive Director of the Healthy Schools Campaign, brings a broad range of experience and expertise to issues affecting children’s environmental health and wellness. She also served as Primary Investigator on an NIEHS funded Partnership to Address Disparities in Asthma and Obesity in Latino Schools. She was the founding director of Generation Green, a national membership organization that works on children’s environmental health issues. Davis is a member of the EPA’s Committee for the Protection of Children’s Health and a founding member of the Green Cleaning Network. She served as a judge for Health magazine's Healthiest Schools Contest and American School & University magazine's Green Clean Award. She is co-author of Fresh Choices, a cookbook published by Rodale Press, and is the recipient of the Chicago Tribune’s 2007 Good Eating Award.

Steve Ashkin
Technical Advisor, Guide Author


Stephen Ashkin is president and founder of The Ashkin Group, LLC a consulting firm whose mission is to reduce the health and environmental impacts associated with cleaning and the Executive Director of the Green Cleaning Network, a non-profit educational organization dedicated to accelerating the adoption of green cleaning practices in the marketplace. He has been in the cleaning industry since 1981, where he has held key management positions in leading commercial and household products companies, and has been working on the issue of Green Cleaning since 1990. Known as the "Father of Green Cleaning," Mr. Stephen also serves as technical advisor to the Healthy Schools Campaign and has introduced Green Cleaning to numerous school districts across the country.

Fees for For-Profit Corporations

Speaking engagements with for-profit organizations are available for a fee of $2500 plus travel expenses. This includes one copy of the Quick & Easy Guide for each attendee, up to 100 Guides. Additional guides may be purchased at the reduced rate of $2.00 per guide.

HSC offers sponsors of the Quick & Easy Guide a special discounted rate of $1,500 plus travel expenses.
