Rob joined the Healthy Schools board because he cares about the health, wellness and success of the children in Chicago, Illinois, and across the country.

Sharmila Rao Thakkar, MPH, MPA, is a philanthropy and nonprofit consultant at SRT Advising & Consulting in New York City, known for her expertise in leadership development, program implementation, resource development, and communications.

Christine M. Smith is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with Big 4 experience and 20+ years in industry. Most recently, Christine served as the Chief Audit Executive at a large beauty retailer. Christine also previously served as the Chair of the HSC Audit Committee.

Jackie Cahan is a seasoned financial strategist and educator with deep experience guiding middle-market and family office operations. She has held executive leadership roles across a range of industries, including wellness, logistics, manufacturing, and hospitality. Jackie currently teaches at DePaul University, where she brings real-world financial expertise into the classroom, inspiring the next generation of business leaders. Jackie’s service on the Healthy Schools Campaign board reflects her lifelong commitment to community well-being. Her experiences across a myriad of industries including restaurants logistics and manufacturing and her passion for education drive her belief that every student deserves access to healthy and supportive learning environments.

Denise Moy Duffy is a Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications with Clune Construction in Chicago. Committed to fostering inclusive environments and championing positive change, she is thrilled to bring her perspectives on branding and messaging to Healthy Schools Campaign, and make a meaningful impact in the world. Denise has always had a passion for physical/mental health and nutrition. She is excited to be part of an organization that focuses on the well-being of the next generation.
David Nozzolillo

David Nozzolillo is Senior Vice President – Middle Market Banking at Wintrust Bank. He works closely with family-owned and privately held businesses to help them achieve their goals by providing financing, managing cash flow needs, and optimizing treasury management solutions. His focus is on understanding their business, objectives, and challenges, providing strategic solutions to support their success across generations. He is excited to help support HSC’s mission by leveraging his background in finance.
Audrey Rowe
Former Administrator for the Food & Nutrition Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture
Audrey Rowe is a former administrator for the Food and Nutrition Service at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. During her tenure at the USDA, Audrey oversaw the nation’s 15 federal nutrition assistance programs—including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program; Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children; and the National School Lunch and School Breakfast program—and increased summer feeding for children by 29 million meals.
Dr. Sabina Shaikh
University of Chicago
Sabina Shaikh is a senior instructional professor and the director of academic programs for the Committee on Environment, Geography and Urbanization at the University of Chicago. Her teaching and research focuses on the connections between environmental changes and society. Sabina is particularly interested in how health and well being is affected by constructed environments, and the implications for environmental justice. She originally engaged with HSC through the Space to Grow program and is inspired to contribute whatever she can to healthy environments for children to grow and thrive.
