“Eat Right With Color” During Nutrition Month!

Governor Quinn has recently named March as Nutrition Month here in Illinois. This is in response to the prevalence of obesity in our state and the need to promote health and wellness through community nutrition programs. To read the official proclamation, click here [pdf].
The American Dietetic Association promotes Nutrition Month on a national level. This year’s theme for National Nutrition Month is “Eat Right With Color,” encouraging everyone to eat a variety of healthy produce, lean meats and whole grains in a variety of colors.
