Find Out Why Students Are Cooking up Change

Cooking up Change is all about putting student voices front and center in the conversation about school food. We know that each student has his or her own motivation that drives them throughout the competition to create a healthy and delicious school meal. For some it might be the thrill of victory or a passion for cooking, for others it might be to try something new or to make their friends and family members proud. Along with our digital media partner AbelsonTaylor, we went to Chicago Vocational Career Academy — the defending Cooking up Change Chicago champions — to find out why their 2014 team is Cooking up Change. Check out the videos below to hear their answers. We are thrilled that these young chefs are speaking up about the importance of healthy — and delicious — school food.
