Healthy Schools Campaign has hosted our Green Cleaning Webinar Series throughout the summer, a series of online seminars featuring national leaders and on-the-ground experts on green cleaning in schools. These concise and practical sessions, offered free of charge, can help you begin a green cleaning program or expand and enhance a program that is already underway at your school. Follow the links below to learn more and register for our next session! You can also check out the archives here.

In our last webinar in the series, Process Cleaning for Healthy Schools will take place on Monday, August 15. Speakers will discuss the benfits for workers, students and staff; demonstrate the difference for attendance and the long-term bottom line; and address effective strategies and practical tips to implement a healthy cleaning program in a time of immediate budget crisis.

Rex Morrison, Washoe County School District. Morrison is the housekeeping training coordinator for the Washoe County School District (WCSD) in Reno, NV, one of the few districts in the nation to achieve ISO 9001 certification due to its focus on quality and standardized process. Rex has pioneered Process Cleaning for Healthy Schools (PCHS) in 100 schools in Washoe County and has been helping school districts across the nation implement the program to save money and jobs while enhancing the health of the indoor environment.

William Blumenthal, Process Cleaning for Healthy Schools Consortium. Blumenthal is vice president of the non-profit Process Cleaning for Healthy Schools (PCHS) Consortium. He is a 14-year veteran of the cleaning industry with experience in both internal and contracted operations. Blumenthal is currently Custodial Supervisor for Douglas County School District in Nevada, consisting of seven elementary schools, three middle schools, and two high schools serving more than 6,000 students. During his tenure, he was instrumental in converting the district to PCHS.
