We are very proud that one of our charter school partners, Noble Street Charter School Network, was recently featured on NPR. The story praises Noble Street Charter School Network for preparing low-income immigrant students for college. According to the story, they have a zero dropout rate, and 80 percent of their students go on to college. The story praises the Noble leadership for providing a solid education plan rooted in values of discipline, honor and scholarship.
Well, one of the stories behind the story is Noble Street Charter School Network’s commitment to promoting healthy eating and active lifestyles. Noble Street participates in an innovative HSC-led school food program that emphasizes freshly prepared food with a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Leaders of the Noble Network recognize the importance of teaching by example, teaching students about the importance of healthy eating by providing them with access to fresh and healthy meals.
We are honored to be working with such a dedicated group of educators and applaud their strong leadership for incorporating important life skills and emphasizing the value of healthy lifestyles in the school environment.
