HSC’s Rochelle Davis Featured in Health Magazine

September 24, 2008

HSC’s founding executive director Rochelle Davis is
spotlighted in this month’s issue of Health magazine as a “healthy-school
expert” in the magazine’s feature on America’s Healthiest Schools.

As the story explains, “the average American child spends
nearly 12,000 hours in school, from kindergarten through 12th grade. That’s a
big chunk of time during which he or she can develop good (or bad) health
habits.”

We’re thrilled to see this prominent national publication
bring attention to the issue of healthy schools, and we’re happy to help sing the
praises of schools taking steps forward for student wellness.
