Help us make physical education (PE) a priority in Chicago! From November 13-20, Healthy Schools Campaign is hosting #StepUpForPE — a week where we urge Chicago Public Schools (CPS) leaders to require daily PE for all students.
On November 20, the CPS Board of Education will vote on bringing daily PE back to the district's schools. PE has been clearly linked to better academic performance, improved behavior and healthier students. So let’s all raise our voices and ensure CPS takes the appropriate steps to make physical activity a priority for all CPS students.
Ways to help:
- Tweet your feet in support of daily PE! Tweet photos of your sneakers, kicks and running shoes to @ChiPubSchools with #StepUpForPE. Sample tweet: Let’s step up for our kids @ChiPubSchools! I support daily PE for all students! #StepUpForPE
- Share and add your own #StepUpForPE images at facebook.com/healthyschools or on Instagram @healthyschools.
Let’s all show our strong commitment to healthy schools. Let’s #StepUpForPE!
