Visit the New GreenCleanSchools.org

GreenCleanSchools.org features information and easy-to-use resources from HSC’s proven, multi-faceted strategy to ensure green and sustainable school cleaning programs.
Last week, while attending the ISSA/Interclean conference in Orlando, Fla., and along with the exciting announcement of our Green Clean Schools Leadership Council, we also launched the new GreenCleanSchools.org. The website features information and easy-to-use resources from our proven, multi-faceted strategy to ensure green and sustainable cleaning programs for schools across the country.
The site builds on the success of our Quick & Easy Guide to Green Cleaning in Schools, first released in 2006. GreenCleanSchools.org brings all of that useful and informative content — and more — online into a userfriendly and dynamic interface. In addition to the Five Simple Steps to Green Cleaning popularized by the Quick & Easy Guide, the website highlights our strategic approach to green cleaning policy change and the power of recognizing successful green cleaning programs through our annual award program.
The website also features our new Green Clean Schools Leadership Council, and enables other industry professionals — those who want to start green cleaning programs at their schools as well as those who want to improve existing programs — to receive innovative and practical green cleaning guidance from these industry experts through our green cleaning program assessment tool.
“Over the past eight years, we’ve seen that transforming cleaning in schools is more than simply recommending green products,” said Mark Bishop, HSC vice president of policy. “It’s about providing practical how-to advice as well as about changing policy, recognizing success and especially about learning from the remarkable leaders who are making positive changes in schools across the nation. We see the launch of the Leadership Council and the new GreenCleanSchools.org website as a natural next step toward improving green cleaning in schools.”
We invite you to learn more and to join the movement for Green Clean Schools at GreenCleanSchools.org.
