Celebrating Two Years of Federal Investments in School Medicaid — And How to Continue Building Support for Student Health & Well-Being

June 26, 2024

Recent federal investments have led to state successes in connecting millions more children to essential school health services. In June 2024, 18 states received grants to help implement, enhance or expand their school Medicaid program and improve student well-being.

HSC hosted a webinar (June 26) to hear from federal, state and local leaders about progress made and opportunities for all states to increase access to school health services. Speakers discussed how their states are leveraging school Medicaid and the impact on students and school districts. They also provided context for their state’s pathway to comprehensive school Medicaid expansion and illustrated opportunities and best practices for other states to follow. The full webinar and slides are available below.
