Medicaid provides critical support for school-based health services, including physical, behavioral and mental healthcare. HSC’s report, “How Medicaid Cuts Will Harm Students & Schools,” published March 12, presents the findings of a nationwide survey of over 1,400 school district leaders, including superintendents, school business officials and school health coordinators, on the impact Medicaid cuts would have on school health services, student resources and district funding.

This webinar features a discussion of the report and survey results. National policy experts and school district leaders explain the expected impact and outcomes of reduced Medicaid funding. Speakers also provide an overview of potential cuts to the Medicaid program and advocacy strategies for urging Congress to protect Medicaid.
