State Policies and Programs to Support Student Health

The pandemic has had a profound impact on all of us, and its effect is radically re-shaping how we envision school life, including student and staff health.

Join Thriving Schools and Healthy Schools Campaign on April 14 to learn about state policies enacted in response to COVID-19 and how state leaders are putting policy into practice.

We’ll highlight how states have worked to support the physical and mental health of students and staff during the pandemic, and identify opportunities you can leverage going forward to support healthy in-person learning.

Speakers include:

  • Charlene Russell Tucker, acting commissioner of the Connecticut State Department of Education
  • Sarah Blumenthal, assistant director of Health and Wellness for the Colorado Department of Education
  • Alex Mays, senior national program director of Healthy Schools Campaign
  • Flora Daniel, national project manager of Thriving Schools for Kaiser Permanente

This webinar is designed for state policy makers and agency representatives, and school and district leader advocates. Learn more about the ongoing webinar series, Reset for Readiness: Safe and Healthy In-person Learning.
