Supporting Student Health through ESSA Needs Assessments
Needs assessments are required by a number of programs within the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), including school improvement efforts. Integrating health and wellness questions into these needs assessments is an excellent opportunity to inform decision making and ensure the critical connection between learning and health is addressed within the ESSA framework.
Join Healthy Schools Campaign and Alliance for a Healthier Generation for this important webinar to learn about the ESSA needs assessment requirements and how you can work with states and school districts to include health and wellness in this work. This webinar will also highlight how Tennessee is integrating health into their ESSA needs assessments to support student success.
