Preventing the Spread of COVID-19 at Chicago Public Schools

Now we are well into the 2021-2022 school year and things are looking up, but COVID-19 continues to be a concern in our communities.

CPS is following a layered mitigation approach to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in school buildings this year. However, we recognize that parents and caregivers still may be concerned about their students’ health and safety, and unsure if the protocol CPS is following is enough.

Drawing on both public health and CPS safety guidelines, Healthy Schools Campaign developed an essential resource to help parents and caregivers answer the question: Is my school taking the right steps to keep students safe?
